The Friday just before Easter is celebrated as "Good Friday" by the Christian world. Friday is the supposed day of the week that Jesus was crucified. But did you know that according to the Holy Scriptures Jesus could NOT have been crucified on a Friday? Matthew 12:40 says, "For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." and in Mark 16:9 "Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week,..." It is clear that Jesus rose the first day of the week -- Sunday. Therefore if He was in the "heart of the earth" 3 days and three nights, he must have been crucified on Thursday afternoon! He was in the tomb on Saturday night, Friday night, and Thursday night! This is just another example of the false traditions of man being handed down to us from that church of Rome. The Protestants also swallowed it.
I am sharing this to make a point that there are some things that we believe and accept as true which the Bible doesn't really teach but are merely a tradition of man!
