On Dec. 4, 2003 my friend and the host of this web site, Kengo Tahara, took me to the city of Nara. Through it is not far from Osaka where I have been many times, it was my first opportunity to visit the ancient capital city of Japan.
Nara is famous for temples, and shrines. I was only interested in seeing and feeding the deer and seeing the beautiful trees turned crimson during this Autumn season.
![]() Nara park is famous for its deer. There is no fence to keep the deer in the park. They can stray out into the city if they want to. They don't want to. They get fed by the tourists in the park. |
