Hi! It's Me -- Jesus! Oh, please don't shut the door in My face! Please don't turn around and walk away. I just want to talk to you. But not about your problems or your sins. I don't want to preach at you or make you feel guilty. I just want to tell you how much I love you.
You know, I'm not far away, up in the sky, or in some distant place called Heaven. I'm right by your side, and if you'll ask Me to come into your heart, I can even live inside of you there. I know all about you. I even know the things that you try to hide from everyone -- including yourself.
I know your heartaches and the pain that you suffer. I know what you worry about. I know your secret dreams and aspirations. I know what has disappointed you in the past, and I know your fears about the future. I know of your insecurities and I know the times that you are jealous or compare yourself negatively with others. I understand how you can't always be everything you would like to be, and that you sometimes do or say things that you later regret.
At times you wonder if anybody really understands you or truly cares. You wonder if love exists -- true, unchanging, unending love. Sometimes you feel so alone, and your existence seems so pointless. You ask yourself, "What am I here for? What am I supposed to do? Why am I alive? Is there a God? And if so, where is He? Who is He?"
I've heard all these questions that are in your heart. I've felt your struggle. I understand your uncertainty, your heaviness, your frustration. I know how disappointed you sometimes feel about yourself, wishing you could do better. But even when you try your best, things just don't always seem to work out as you hope.
So you look at life's monotony and ask yourself, "Is this all there is? Isn't there something deeper? Some reason, some purpose or goal for my life?"
My dear friend, the answer to these questions and the satisfaction you are looking for will not be found in the world that you see with your eyes. It can only be found in the world of the spirit, where love reigns supreme. God, the great Creator, the King of the universe, is love. He is the invisible Spirit of Love -- and to know, receive and share this love is the purpose for living.
But it's not something that you can work for or earn by your own goodness, by keeping the rules and trying so hard. This blessing of love -- the greatest treasure anyone could ever receive -- is a gift. It can only be received by faith. You can't work for it or prove yourself worthy of it.
God loves you so much that He wanted to make it easy for you to understand Him and His love. He wanted to give you a picture, an illustration, an example of His love that would help you to see that He -- and His love -- are real. His love is not something that you can just read about, discuss or debate, but it's something that you can experience in your life. It is power, it is warmth, it is light and life! God's love is all those things.
Because God is so grand, so magnificent, so all-encompassing, He knew it would be difficult for you to understand Him and His love, and to understand how you could receive it. So He allowed Me, Jesus, to be the illustration of His love for you.
He allowed Me to come and be a human, as you are, to live and think and feel as you do. I experienced all the things that you feel, so I know what it's like. I understand you.
Now I am the connection between you and God. I am the go-between, the mediator, the staircase to Heaven. Through Me you can pass from a life of emptiness or disappointment or turmoil and desperation into a life of peace and plenty and love. It's all yours for the asking. Even the tiniest desire of your heart is important to Me, and nothing gives Me more pleasure than to take from the riches of Heaven and give you what you need to make you happy.
I love you with a love that is perfect and without end. I don't look at your imperfections, mistakes and sins, and then get upset and stop loving you. No, I love you in spite of all these things! I love you for who you really are, and for what you can be.
I love you as no one else has ever loved you before, and as no one else ever will. There is nothing you can do that could cause Me to turn My back on you. The only thing that could come between you and My love would be your refusal to receive it, for I cannot force it on you.
If you'll just reach out to Me and receive Me, you will find the love that I have promised you. As a father loves his only child, so will I love you. As a mother tenderly cares for her newborn babe, so will I care for you. I will never forget you nor leave you.
I have tenderly watched you from the time that you were born. I have seen all your ups and downs, your successes and your failures, the times you rejoiced and the times you wept. I have known you intimately all these years, and I have been waiting for this moment when you would know Me, when we would finally meet heart to heart, and I could tell you how much I love you.
You are the reason for My existence. I love you as if you were the only one. You're not lost in a faceless crowd called humanity. You're not just one of the billions, but you are special and unique to Me. I know and love you as an individual. I died for you personally, so that you could experience My love, so that we could be forever one.
Please, My dear one, receive My love now, today. Let Me love you and bless you and care for you forever. Please receive Me! Then at last I will be satisfied, for I cannot be complete without you. I need you.
Open your heart to Me. Believe in My love, and we will begin the greatest adventure of your life. We will lead a life of love together -- not just here and now, but forever!

Yo man! -- What's goin' down?You got no hope, ain't no love to be found?
Are you feelin' low and misunderstood?
Nobody to talk to? Bad news in the hood?
Guy's got no girl, girl's got no dude.
Everybody's real lonely -- either that or they feud.
Nobody listens, so you say, "What the hell!"
Everybody's got a gripe or a story to tell.
War on our planet, gangs on the streets,
Neighbors shootin' neighbors, the future's lookin' bleak.
Easy for you to say, "Keep it up, man, don't quit."
But when I think that's my future, I don't dig it one bit!
Might as well forget it, get high and just chill,
`Cause tomorrow we die -- either that, or we kill.
And if a bullet don't get me, AIDS could get a grip.
Or if it ain't one of those, there's more shit that could rip.
Yeah, on the outside, I gotta look strong,

Just feel so empty, no life, no direction.
Man, I could use some love and attention.
How about something that'll give me hope,
Or some peace in my mind to help me cope.
The people around me, they use me, for sure.

My generation's been screwed, but who gives a damn?
The System says we don't know nothin',

And then there's cancer, Ebola, drugs, or crime.
If one of those don't get me, there's more on the list.

Man, one dude with a key gets out of whack,
Goes berserk with a nuke, and in seconds we're zapped!
I think we do better livin' just for the day.
So many people talkin' who got nothing to say.
But hey, you know what? I gotta admit
In the dark of the night, I sometimes just fritz.
All alone in my bed, the world seems to come down.
I cry out in my sleep, "Is there peace to be found?"
Well, I hear you talkin', I hear what you say,
And the good news is this, I can free you today!

Does anybody care?
Do you ever pause and wonder whether anybody cares? Do you ever think, "Does anybody understand what goes on inside the real me? Does anyone know my deepest heartcries?" Do you ever wish there was somebody you could be yourself with, and not have to pretend?
Do you wonder if anybody out there understands the confusion you feel, or just how hard life can be sometimes? Especially when you look ahead to the future. -- The future? For this generation, it can be pretty scary! You feel like, "Where are we heading, anyway? Seems like the world's in the fast lane - destination unknown!" Do you ever look around, and wonder what's going to become of the world? It's frightening!
Ever wonder about all this when you're alone in your bed at night? Or maybe when you're sitting in class? Or at work? Or when you're struggling just to make it through another day?
When you think about those who are fighting wars, or packing a gun, do you ever wonder, "What are we here for, anyway?" So many folks are caught up in the gruesome hell of war. Some fight for land, religion, some ideal, or just plain "ethnic cleansing," while the innocent find themselves left without a home, a family, or food. Don't you ask yourself at times, "What is the solution to all this anger and hatred?"
Maybe you'd rather not think about it. You don't have time, or you don't have the answers, and it seems easier to just keep going, and keep putting it out of your mind. Yet deep down inside you can't quite shake the feeling of "What's wrong with this picture, anyway? Why can't people just love each other instead of hate?"
Ever feel lost sometimes? Or confused, lonely, frustrated, scared? But you can't let on to anybody. -- That wouldn't be cool, right? Then again, cool or not cool, you still have these moments, and you don't know what to do about it.
So you try to be happy and have a good time with your friends. But the things you think will make you happy just don't fill that empty feeling deep inside of you. What a drag!
Do you ever imagine what it's like for a guy or a girl your age who lives on the other side of the world? Lifestyles are at such extremes! Some folks are flying high, racing down the information highway, surfing cyberspace; while others are sweating it out in the fields, slaving away in factories, or scrounging a life in the cities, struggling to keep from going hungry.
Do you ever have those times when you wish you could just stop the world and get off?
Do you ever wonder about the other guy? Is he happy, or is he just the same as you? Does he or she have the same fears and tears, thoughts and feelings as you? Do you ask yourself whether he or she really understands you and cares about you? After all, you're all on this same planet. You're all in it together, right? Well, at least that's what you hope.
Do you ever feel like the world is jam-packed with so many voices, so many people talking, talking, talking, but you can't quite figure out what they're saying? You hear some folks say they know the answers, but they don't seem any happier than you are. Deep down they're just as afraid of dying as you are. So, who's to know? Is there anything that can heal the heartache you feel inside?
Is there something that you can hold on to, something solid, something that can save your dying spirit before it fades away into oblivion?
The answer is yes, there is! I've got something for you. It doesn't matter how confused you feel, or how big a problem you have. It doesn't even matter what you've done or how bad you've been. I've got what you need, and it's free! How about that?
It doesn't matter where you are, who you are, what you do, whether you're rich or poor, black, white, yellow, red or brown. If you're in need of a magic touch to soothe the pain inside, just reach out and grab a hold of Me. If you're looking for peace of mind or a little hope in the midst of all this despair, if you need a little loving, a helping hand, a listening ear, or some compassion from someone who really cares, then take My hand. I love you and I care.
You know who I am? My name is Jesus. I came to this Earth long ago and stood up against the status quo. I died trying to show people that there is a better way, a way of love. I died, and yet, I live on and am speaking to you today. I died for you, so that you could be free, so that through Me you could find love, and enjoy a life of happiness in Heaven after your life on Earth. Wouldn't you want that?
Well, just call on Me, wherever you are. Just stop and say, "Yes, Jesus, I need some relief. Yes, I'll give You a try. I take Your hand. I need something real, something that will last, something I can hold on to deep in my soul. I need love, real love. I need love that will never leave and break my heart, love that no one can take away from me. Jesus, if You are listening, if You really care, please take me as I am. Give me love, and show me how to love. Please clear away the confusion I feel, and give me peace."
It's that simple! That's all it takes. Just call out to Me. I'll be there for you always - any time, any place, any way. No matter who you are, or what you are, or what you've done, I'm right there, waiting for you. I promise. Can't believe it? Try Me and see. I love you.
