On Feb. 26, 2005 I led a marriage ceremony for Shinobu and Chinami in Nagano. This was a very special ceremony for me because I know Chinami and her parents from 4 years before. Chinami and her father picked me up hitchhiking! We became friends and I've stayed overnight at their home several times. Here is the the story of Chinami and how I met her.
Normally I like to hitchhike long distances and Chinami's city in Nagano is about 230 kilometers from where I live, but her family insisted that I come by Shinkansen (bullet train) for the wedding and gave me the money for the fare. :-)
